These super-tiny mice are a found in a variety of rural habitats such as long grassland, hedgerows, farmland and reedbeds. Their distinctive woven nests can be found at height amongst tall grasses. Like much of our wildlife, harvest mice have declined due to changes in habitat and fragmentation. They provide an important link in the food chain.
