These iconic birds are a familiar sight for gardeners where they love to take advantage of worms that are revealed in the soil as part of a gardener’s toil – behaviour that is thought to have evolved when wild boar were widespread across the UK. This territorial bird can be heard singing  its sweet song all year round.

I have loved getting to know the robin better through this drawing. If you click on the images in the gallery above, you can see the artwork in more detail … and don’t worry, the watermark isn’t present on the drawing itself.

When buying this artwork, you have a choice of finishes:

  1. without any mount or frame (drawing size is approx. 6×6 inches); or,
  2. mounted, framed (10×10 inches) and ready to hang on the wall. The black frame is handmade in the UK and uses wood from sustainable UK sources. For safety reasons during transportation, the frame is supplied with clear perspex rather than glass (visually, perspex provides an identical finish to glass); perspex also makes the frame light-weight for hanging purposes. Mount board is a charcoal-black colour to complement the artwork.

As with all my originals, the artwork complies with the highest archival standards, meaning it is created to last.
